Description

The core source module is missing ASV performance benchmarks. As per our contributing guidelines, every source module must have performance benchmarks written using the ASV framework.

Subtasks

  • Create a new directory benchmarks/core/.
  • Add new benchmark files to benchmarks/core/ that cover the performance-critical parts of the core module.
  • Implement the corresponding benchmark functions.

Definition of Done

  • The core module has a comprehensive suite of ASV performance benchmarks.
  • The new benchmarks are running successfully in the CI pipeline.
