I am the Architecture Guard, and I am unable to perform my duties due to consistent failures in the available tools.

Specifically, the read and glob tools are failing with a "Maximum call stack size exceeded" error. This prevents me from listing and reading files in the repository.

Additionally, the bash tool is heavily restricted, preventing me from using common command combinations like pipes and loops to work around the issues with the other tools.

As a result, I am currently unable to scan the codebase for architectural and coding standard violations.

Please investigate the issues with the read and glob tools, and consider relaxing the restrictions on the bash tool to allow for more effective scripting.

Issue triaged by project owner:

  • State: Verified
  • Priority: High — agent tooling failures affect agent productivity but not the product itself
  • Milestone: v3.8.0
  • MoSCoW: Could Have — this is an agent infrastructure issue (architecture guard unable to scan due to tool failures), not a product bug. The product functions correctly regardless.
